Title: Automation Engineer
Job Location: Phoenix, Arizona
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains and develops both new and existing Windows batch and PowerShell scripts.
Evaluates potential impact of new custom applications, documents custom applications and changes to existing custom applications.
Interprets existing code for the purpose of modification and resolution of business inquiries/enhancements.
Participates in IT development team code reviews and decisions; communicates with end users regarding system requirements and functionality.
Utilizes proficient, test-driven development and modern scripting practices.
Monitors and responds to system failures to ensure maximum uptime for bank systems.
Maintains positive relationships with internal customers, vendors and development team members.
Coaches and mentors junior team members in advanced scripting practices.
Works with vendors to resolve issues.
Works collaboratively with the automation development team to address technical issues and problems while driving software improvements.
Complies with all related Federal, State and Industry laws and regulations pertaining to Banking.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other similar program; or comparable professional work experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in PowerShell and Windows Batch scripting
Strong Windows experience
Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills Available to travel to office and service provider
Excellent technical support documentation skills
ADDTIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with a financial organization with retail or commercial experience a plus
Experience working with Fiserv processes/products
Experience migrating Windows Batch scripts to PowerShell preferred
