IT Environment Engineer

Our client has an immediate opening for an IT Environments Engineer in the Phoenix, AZ area.

IT Environment Engineer

Environment Engineer who Support and execute deployment procedures and all associated activities for releases, patches, and pre- and post-deployment support for the non-production environments.

Adhere to established processes for change management; contribute to status reports regarding change management and deployment activities

Resolve deployment issues or impediments; Document resolutions for future reference

Provide recommendations on the tools and resources needed to perform successful deployments; coordinate and track progress of deployment teams

Create and maintain project build, installation, deployment scripts and documentation.

Perform release management (all activities related to releasing new project version: SVN, Hudson, Maven, etc.)

Release delivery and support in local and customer environments

Compose, document, deliver and support release upgrade packages

Maintain the virtual machines environment

Communicate with Information Technology (IT)cross-functional team members to stay informed about the daily status of testing environments, builds and releases; plan deployment activities in conjunction with established project timelines and test schedules

Fix all errors and bugs, perform root cause analysis and recommend bug fixes; collaborate with engineers to determine root causes and keep problem resolution/issues log

Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain industry relationships

Demonstrate commitment to providing customer-focused quality service

Support assigned systems with on-call availability and respond within agreed timeframes


5+ years of demonstrated IT industry experience

 3+ years of experience with complex end-to-end software implementations

 Hands-on experience with the Linux OS, shell scripting language and Websphere application server

 Knowledge and experience with Informatica 9.1

 Knowledge and experience with Database maintenance and configuration (Oracle)Ability to create documentation related to deployment and installation procedures


Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
