Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or related work experience required, or High school and technical school training.
  • 7+ years of experience in information systems with 3 years of experience in a fast paced software development environment, with both manual and automated deployment methods.
  • Ability to occasionally work early, late, or on weekends as projects demand is required.
  • Agile experience required. Experience with Kanban and development sprint processes.
  • Experience  operating systems both Linux and Windows. Prefrence being with Windows version from 2003 forward.
  • Experience with administration of VMWare vCenter clusters. Including VM Guest creation by creating sys prepped Vm Tempaltes.
  • Experience with scripting languages Bash, Powershell, Python.
  • Experience with two or more development tools: Subversion, GIT, Bamboo, TFS, Maven or other CI.
  •  Knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL database engines, basic syntax of queries and connection strings for applications.
  • Knowledge in Java, C# or Pl/SQL, .NET, VB.
  • Experience with SCM tools required. Salt preferred Puppet, Chef, Vagrant.
  • Experience with monitoring tools required. Nagios, ELK, Splunk, New Relic, Solarwinds.
  • Experience with application layer trouble shooting and support. Diagnose reported issues from word of mouth descriptions, email correspondence, and internal ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Sox and SOC1 compliance practices.
  • Experience with configuration of High availability for web applications on Linux and Windows OS, Windows server services in a load balanced environment.
  • Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and implementation of replication between Warm, Hot/Hot, and Hot/Cold sites.

 

 

 

 

 

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

 

 

 

  • Primary owner of test, build, release process in development and production infrastructures.  Responsible to execute standard software build plan, deploy software to all development and production environments, continuous improvement of release processes including using automation, manual tools and methods.
  • Work with project teams to employ best practices in source control, continuous integration and delivery, automated test execution and release management to all development and production environments.
  • Work closely with QA to ensure software final version is up to organization standards.  Work with SysAdmin’s and DBA’s to diagnose issues with deployed components.
  • Support production applications to maintain uptime and performance SOA’s and metrics.
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
