Job Description:

Our client is currently hiring for an experienced Web Application Engineer to join our team. The Engineer will be developing, maintaining, and enhancing our web services/Java analytics platforms while working with IT infrastructure personnel, developers, testers, business analysts and customers to ensure thorough analysis of incidents and business circumstances involved in supporting enterprise applications in the production and non-production environments. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the day to day requests for the company’s website using CA APM (Wily/Introscope & CEM), and TeaLeaf
  • Supports the development and support teams in the investigation of reported issues using CA APM (Wily/Introscope & CEM), and TeaLeaf
  • Work with the IT infrastructure teams to administer TeaLeaf and optimize the configuration of the company’s analytics tools
  • Manage transaction integrity and user satisfaction, which are key requirements for ensuring successful customer interactions with the company’s enterprise Web applications
  • Effectively monitor complex, SOA Web applications in production 24×7 and design automatic detection and alert methods to trap performance problems before they affect business functions
  • Ensure quality of service and quality of experience for our critical business applications to protect revenue opportunities, end-user productivity, and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field and some experience with applications, systems, application development and support or other directly related experience
  • 5 years of experience in the Information Technology industry and web based technologies
  • 3 years of hands on experience with Wily, APM Systems application, and TeaLeaf
  • Demonstrated knowledge with HTML, Javascript, Java virtual machines and web analytics tools
  • Knowledge of CA APM features that enable you to work efficiently and implement the powerful capabilities of CA APM, such as using calculators to generate new metrics from available metrics, customizing which metrics are reported by agents, and using ProbeBuilder Directive (PBD) files for greater visibility into custom non-standard Java and J2EE components
  • Good analysis, trouble shooting, technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi task, work well under pressure and changing environments
  • Must have good organizational and client interfacing skills
  • TeaLeaf Administrator experience is a plus
