Title: Engineering Designer – Drafter
Job Location: Centennial, Colorado
My client is looking for an Engineering Designer for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for a space application. This is a 6 month contract position. Location is the Denver Tech Center.
Provide engineering design packaging and drawing expertise within the Ground Command Control and Communications (GC3) Organization. Develop and complete drawings to be released in the configuration managing system. Drawing include design models, parts lists, documents and schematics. Develop drawings using model based views, parametric dimensions and feature definition using best practices including geometric tolerancing and dimensioning. Utilize available automations and utilities to perform self-verifications of models, drawings and build of materials. Work within the applicable engineering release system to create or complete the change documents as needed. Create supporting administrative documentation and products associated with a given design, including the engineering (EBOM), Change summary documentation, accurate change cut in, Schedule/Milestone priorities, as applicable. Technical/Design technical support positions are located at the Denver (Centennial), Colorado location.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and or Engineering Technology (Electrical or Computer)
5-8 years of applicable experience
CAD Aided design proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred) and NX implementing electrical systems
Proficiency in Geometric and Tolerancing applications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
Advanced understanding of electrical / electronic circuits.
Involvement in and completion of technical class projects or on-the-job engineering tasks.
Demonstrable communication skills (verbal and written; including presentations).

The client wants a BS degree with 5-8 years’ experience.
The location is the Denver area. The duration is 6 months.
