PDS is looking for a SCRUM Master

 

Employment Type: Permanent

Position Summary

The Scrum Master is responsible for instilling Agile principles across the team and providing agile coaching across our client as an organization. This includes guiding the team through all Scrum events (Planning, Standup, Reviews and Retrospectives) and working relentlessly to remove any blockers or impediments being encountered by the team. The Scrum Master must be creative, energetic and passionate about Agile and Scrum and have a good understanding on how to scale Agile across the larger organization.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties (Primary Responsibilities) include the following.

  • Doing everything to Delight our Customers
  • Encouraging an environment of team self-organization
  • Maintaining light-weight metrics for the purposes of inspecting and adapting
  • Building a trusting environment that encourages collaboration and creativity
  • Facilitating conversation between the development team members and the end users
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Being an overall servant leader to the team
  • Training and coaching Agile and Scrum principals to both team members and individuals in the larger client environment, including senior leadership

 

Skills and Compliance

Adhere to client’s policies and exhibit proficiency and understanding of client processes

 

Qualifications

Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the experience required.

 

 

 

Education (minimum requirement)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

 

And/Or

 

Previous Experience (Required)

Four to ten years prior experience in a similar position.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (Required)

CSM, CSPO or CSP highly desired
