Our client has an immediate opening for a Sr. UX Designer in the Phoenix, AZ area.
Sr. UX Designer
Need additional UX Design resources to support delivery of our digital products for the 2016 roadmap. The Digital Product Designer collaborates with key partners to design digital experiences for our members, agents and workforce. Aligned to the business goals and strategy, the Digital Product Designer solves problems by producing intelligent and intuitive user-centered designs, delivers engaging digital experiences, and builds meaningful connections with our users. Employing industry best practices for user experience, and user-centered design methodologies, our products design objective is simple, proactive and personal for our customers. Leads design activities, and contributes to the development of experiences and flows that are consistent with our digital standards, and aligned to our overall brand. Daily collaboration with a diverse set of specialists from fellow designers, product managers, engineers, and business partners to deliver these digital experiences. Under some circumstances, may provide direction and guidance to other designers.
Required: Solid understanding of HTML5/CSS3 and front-end development implementation Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Omnigraffle, HTML5 and CSS 3 tools Familiar with the wide variety of usability concepts, best practices, and procedures, as well as the basic concepts of user centered design Demonstrated ability to work with and lead cross-discipline design teams and collaborate with clients, developers, and fellow designers Experience developing design plans/or gathering user research and insights to aid in the design and presentation process Excellent project management and presentation skills Ability to maintain focus on project detail and overall brand awareness while understanding and managing business partner and customer needs Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator Trained ‘eye’ for design elements, specifically around testing and reviewing implementation of a visual design style guide Ability to present multiple design concepts to problems Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles, web design best practices, visual trends and emerging web technologies. Bachelor's degree in related area (graphic design, interaction/digital design, or other communications design-related field ) or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years’ experience creating world-class visual design for web and mobile experiences 5+ years of experience designing successful interactive websites/applications as a key member of a user experience team.
