Title: Storage Engineer I

Job Description:
My client is looking for two Storage Engineer I. You must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Government Clearance. We are unable to sponsor H1b candidates at this time.
The Storage Engineer I will have current knowledge of FC, iSCSI, CIFS, and NFS. Engineer will have knowledge of storage networks constructed both of 8Gb FC, and also of 10Gb Ethernet. Experience with Fiber Channel over Ethernet is preferred, but not required. Will possess experience with VMWare. Will possess experience with NetApp or Hitachi SAN’s in large multi-site environments. Engineer will possess a familiarity with geo-replication technologies and snapshot strategies, to include snapshot storage reservation and recovery. It’s desirable that the engineer will have experience with NetApp SnapVault and SnapMirror and be familiar with Thin-provisioning rewards and pitfalls. Engineer will document and socialize storage design and information assurance design considerations to a change-management team. Engineer will possess a CISSP certification.
CLEARANCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
- Security Clearance: Secret
- DoDI 8570.01-M IASAE Level I certification and corresponding Computing Environment certification
DUTIES:
- Performs systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of applications that require comprehensive knowledge and technical skills.
- Supports capacity planning and performance analysis of computer systems.
- Supports the determination of current levels of system and application resource utilization and performance.
- Supports analytical modeling to describe utilization and performance at multiple levels of granularity.
- Supports resource chargeback rate-setting activities.
- Analyzes the impact of new technologies on processor and peripheral utilization and performance.
- Supports workload sizing for new and existing applications.
- Supports the implementation of hardware and software upgrades.
- Supports the construction of capacity plans.
- Utilizes systems that analyze and report levels of utilization and performance.
- Oversees storage of capacity and performance data.
- Installs, maintains, secures, and monitors day-to-day storage infrastructure, including storage provisioning, issue resolution and ensuring storage arrays and SAN devices are operational.
- Schedules, facilitates, and performs system maintenance, as necessary.
- Responds to alerts and events.
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems, escalate as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, information technology, systems engineering or a closely-related field. Masters Degree preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen with a SECRET clearance.
This position requires DoDI 8570.01-M IASAE Level I certification and corresponding Computing Environment certification such as: EMCIE; NetApp Certified SAN Implementation Engineer; SNIA; SCSE; MCITP Server Administrator: Windows Server 2008, MCITP Enterprise Administrator: Windows Server 2008, MCITP Virtualization Administrator Windows Server 2008 R2, MCSE Desktop Infrastructure 2012, MCSE Server Infrastructure 2012, MCSE Private Cloud 2012, VCAP 4, VCAP 5.
Experience:
5-8 years of technical program related experience in a government contracting environment and an advanced degree in engineering, science or related technical field. Comprehensive specialized experience in the management and oversight of technical over-arching inter-disciplinary project teams and programs.
Skills:
Familiar with knowledge of key solutions such as Data Sharing, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Disaster Recovery preparation, and integration of these capabilities with Cloud Computing and Cyber architectures. Ability to work with cluster file systems and other technologies to provide redundancy and availability for server farms and applications. Experience with administering Windows Operating Systems and Windows Operating Systems environment. Experience with storage network devices. Possess foundational knowledge of vendor-neutral storage networking concepts, technologies, and solutions. Know storage concepts, disc technology, storage architectures, storage management, and storage and networking protocols, such as Fiber Channel protocols and Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI). Preferred to possess entry-level certifications in vendor solutions such as Veritas, EMC, NetApp, etc. Preferred to possess Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Certified Storage Professional certification. My client is looking for six Network Security/Information Assurance Engineer III. You must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Government Clearance. We are unable to sponsor H1b candidates at this time. The Network Security/Information Assurance Engineer will be responsible for all activities relating to information assurance procedures and systems. Develops information systems assurance programs and control guidelines. Confer with and advise subordinates on administrative policies and procedures and resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods. Consult with and advise other sections regarding internal controls and security procedures. Prepare activity and progress reports relating to the information systems audit function.
